Kirti is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology (MCP) from Vancouver, Canada, and a Bachelors in Psychology (Hons) from India.
She has trained in queer-competent counselling, and offers support with issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, body-image, self-esteem, sexuality and relationships & couple’s therapy among others. With roots in India, Kirti offers therapy in three languages – English, Hindi and Gujarati. Her personal and professional background drives her passion of working with women, and making a difference in the queer community, especially with the BIPOC population. She believes that the nuances of one’s struggles cannot be disconnected from the intersection of their identities, and employs this in her understanding of your struggles. With a strong belief in self-compassion, Kirti uses a strength-based approach to therapy. Her methodology works towards identifying your internal and external strengths and resources, and employing them to solve your problems. Her goal is to make sure you leave therapy
feeling equipped and independent in dealing with your struggles.
Kirti believes that no single approach fits every individual and uses aspects of Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with a Trauma-Informed Approach, depending on your needs. She insists that it is her role to make sure that you feel safe and comfortable in sharing your struggles. Your role is to come as you are.
