Have you ever felt disconnected, even while surrounded by people in a familiar place? Have you ever held back from sharing your emotions because you thought, "They wouldn't understand?" I understand how isolating it can feel to hide parts of yourself or believe your inner world wouldn't make sense to others. I strive to provide a space where you can openly explore your thoughts, reconnect with yourself, and feel more grounded in a world that can often feel overwhelming and disconnected. As an immigrant from a small village in Belarus-where horse-drawn buggy was still common when I was growing up-adjusting to life in North America brought its own challenges. For many years I experienced anxiety about the unfamiliar. Over time, I realized that what I once interpreted as anxiety was often my excitement for the unknown wearing a different mask. The power of the mind never ceases to amaze me. Since childhood, I've been deeply curious about people, emotions and the stories we carry. I believe curiosity holds wisdom, laughter can be healing and creativity can help us express things that words sometimes cannot. My approach to counselling is humanistic and client-centred, integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions and experiences without judgment.
I have recently completed my program at Rhodes Wellness College and plan to continue expanding my training in areas such as couples therapy, existential therapy and art therapy.
Outside of counselling, enjoy spending time in nature, creating art, painting and making rugs in my studio. I value both meaningful community and quiet moments of solitude and I deeply respect that everyone has their own path toward balance and healing.
